It's been a difficult week and I feel selfish at times working on my goals related to business and personal growth. My cousin's two year old son has just been diagnosed with cancer. It's the kind of news that stops a mother in her tracks, makes her hug her children close and hold on tight.
I'm so thankful for the Internet for easy access to research material and for moral support links through sites like CaringBridge. It's uplifting to read the journals and caring comments from others who have experienced similar situations or want to offer support. Please say a prayer for my cousin and her family and for all families who have had a child diagnosed with cancer.

that's an awful thing to discover but our God is good.
ReplyDeleteDo not spend too much time on the internet searching for answers and info. Feeding your spirit (and your cousin's) with the truth from the Word of God (by Jesus' stripes that baby is healed; Healing is the children's bread etc.) over the contradictions that you find on the internet, from the doctor's etc. will bring about victory. Prayer is good...necessary but God's Word implanted in the heart is what brings about victory.
I suggest you get a list of healing scriptures and even a CD with healing scriptures and have your cousin read them over the baby. Play the healing scriptures 24-7 over him when he's asleep. Make confessions in line with the Word on healing. Regardless to what the doctor's say, keep your confession in line with God's word.
I can relate to you because my son is diagnosed with epilepsy and whenever there's a seizure, I stand on God's word until it subsides.
We have to fight the good fight of faith for our kids. Let the doctor's do their part and let God do His part but He needs our cooperation. Mediating on His Word, confessing His Word and refusing to agree with the diagnosis by speaking the negatives. Yes, the diagnosis is cancer. That's a fact but the TRUTH is Jesus Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses and by HIS stripes, we are healed!
I will keep you in my prayers and add my faith to yours.
oh I forgot to ask. What's his name? I want to put him on my prayer list.
